Identifying the Self as I AM keeps one in the prison of ignorance. Realize the Self is not I AM But the Self is the Soul to get rid of ignorance.+

Identifying the Self as I AM keeps one in the prison of ignorance. Realize the Self is not I AM But the Self is the Soul to get rid of ignorance.

Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the illusory universe or Maya as reality.

Remember:~
The Soul is the Self. The Soul, the Self is present in the form of Consciousness. The nature of Consciousness is non-dualistic awareness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
The Soul, the Self is without hate, without infatuation, without craving, without greed.

The Soul, the Self has neither arrogance, nor conceit, nor jealousy because it is ever nondual.
The Soul has neither religion nor gender and it is ever free from illusory duality.

The Soul, the Self is without fear, without death, without discrimination, without caste because it is ever nondual.

The Soul, the Self has neither kith nor kin, neither teacher nor student because it is unborn.

The Soul, the Self is without form, without figure, without resemblance because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

The Soul, the Self is pervading in everything and everywhere in the illusory universe or Maya.

The Soul, the Self has Neither father nor mother because it is unborn eternal

The Soul the Self is without sins, without merits, without elation, without sorrow because it is ever nondual.
Self-realization cannot be achieved through Neither mantra nor rituals, neither pilgrimage nor Vedas
The Soul, the Self is Neither the experiencer, nor experienced, nor the experience.
The Soul, the Self is Consciousness, the Soul, the Self is awareness The Soul, the Self is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar

You, your experience of the birth, life, death part and parcel of the illusory universe or Maya.+

You, your experience of the birth, life, death part and parcel of the illusory universe or Maya. The Self is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul or consciousness is the cause of the illusory universe or Maya.
When the universe along with you is created out of consciousness then consciousness, which is the cause of the universe alone is real and eternal.
Ashtavakra Gita: ~” The universe rises from the ‘Self’ like bubbles from the sea. Thus, know the Self to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."
Realizing the world in which you exist is nothing but the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness is Self-realization because the Self is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
When the Soul remains in its own awareness in the midst of the dualistic illusion (the world in which you exist) is Self-awareness.
Remember:~
Sage Sankara said: ~A.A~ 88. When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman (consciousness), and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman?
That is why Sage Sankara says:~ VC-63- Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’ how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.
What is the use of saying ‘I AM THAT’- without knowing what the ‘Self’ is in actuality? Without knowing the truth of the Self, without realizing the truth of the world in which you exist it is impossible to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space. By a mere utterance of the word ‘I AM THAT', the truth will not be revealed.
Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.
That is why Sage Sankara declaration: ~ “Brahman is the truth The World is Unreal everything is Truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.
Sage Sankara says: ~ ‘What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra)
Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.
Those who tell you that Brahman is unity, that you can get it only by intuition, that you should not reason, you should not question or inquire, are deluding you. Verification must come by thought.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The Advaitic wisdom will dawn only when you start reasoning yourself on the base of the Soul, the Self.+

When you realize and get a firm conviction that you, your body, and the world in which you exist is nothing but the Soul, the 'Self, which is present in the form of consciousness, then the Advaitic wisdom dawns.

The Advaitic wisdom will dawn only when you start reasoning yourself on the base of the Soul, the Self.

Stick to the Soul, the ‘Self’’ then you will succeed, maybe slowly, but surely

We are completely unaware of the Self. Do not identify the Self as yourself. Remember, yourself is the ego and the real Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Error in your understanding will not yield the truth you are seeking.

The path of wisdom is divided into three parts:~

First:- hearing the truth--that the consciousness is the only reality and that the universe along with you merely an illusion or Maya.

Second:- reasoning upon these words of wisdom of Sage Sankara from all points of view.

Third:- giving up all further argumentation and realizing the truth. This realization comes from being certain that consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth

The inner dialogue will start and the subconscious will start judging ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is the untruth and it starts discarding the untruth.

Till you hold your accumulated knowledge as a yardstick and try to interpret it in your own way, it is difficult to tread the Atmic path. All the accumulated knowledge accumulated from different sources becomes an obstacle in the Atmic path.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the stars is the seeker's own work.

Thus, it is necessary to read again and again till the subconscious starts accepting and judging the truth from the non-dualistic perspective.

The seeker must do his homework by deeper thinking and reflect on the subject umpteen time, then only he will be able to get a firm conviction. The external spoon feeding are mere signposts are to direct him towards reality, which is within the form, time, and space, but it is beyond the form, time, and space.

When the seeker independently starts thinking and reasoning then the truth will start unfolding. The inner satisfaction comes only when one gets a firm conviction of the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Upanishads All this is full /from fullness, fullness comes when fullness is taken from fullness/ fullness still remains.

Remember:~

From the dualistic perspective, people who see the world in which they exist as a reality. They see their body as the body, their ego as the ego, and the world in which they exist as the world whereas a Gnani sees everything from the non-dualistic perspective.

A Gnani sees his body as consciousness, his ego as consciousness, the world in which he exists as the consciousness. For a Gnani, whatever seen, known, believed, and experienced is nothing but consciousness. There is unity in diversity in Gnani's understanding whereas the ignorant people see only diversity and separation.

Thus it is necessary to learn to view and judge the worldview on the non-dualistic perspective in order to realize the form, time and space are one in essence. There is nothing to realize other than realizing the consciousness is everything. The consciousness is second to none.

When everything is nothing but consciousness then what remains is not consciousness. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Advaitic orthodoxy is based on the dualistic perspective whereas the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is based on the non-dualistic perspective.

Advaitic orthodoxy believes in Saguna Brahman or God with attributes and worships many gods and goddesses whereas Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara says Atman is Brahman or God in truth.
All the inherited dualistic paramparas passed on from one generation to the next made orthodox people non-thinkers. All these parampars or traditions of linage came into existence between the 8th and 12th centuries by their respective founders.

All these parampars or traditions of linages are nothing to do with Sanatana Dharam or Vedic religion because they are not based on Vedas and Vedic God.
The Advaitic orthodoxy is dualistic. Physical & mental discipline such as Karma, Mantra Yoga, and Yajna, Puja Japa blind devotion to deity or guru is not the tool for liberation or freedom from experiencing the duality as reality
It is a dualistic cult including tradition Advaitic orthodoxy propagate this discipline has no value if one is seeking ultimate truth or Brahman to get Non-dualistic self-awareness.
Without Sage Sankara, there is no Advaita (non-duality). Since it was mixed up with orthodoxy there is a lot of confusion. Sage Sankara’s quotes (selected verified) are quoted in my blogs to show what Sage Sankara meant and ‘what is blocking the seekers from realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.
There are so many non-dualistic masters of the east and also from the west who expound Advaitic or non-dualistic knowledge, but none of them are helpful to reach the ultimate end of understanding.
Remember:~
Advaitic orthodoxy is nothing to do with Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom. Advaitic orthodoxy is meant for the ignorant populace.
According to Advaita Vedanta, the Veda addresses itself to two kinds of audiences –
1, “The ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices”.

2, “The advanced seekers who seek to know the ultimate truth or Brahman.”
Thus, the Purva mimam. sa, with its emphasis on the karma kanda of the Vedas, is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, the Vedanta, with its emphasis on the jnana kanda, is meant for those who wish to go beyond form, time, and space.
Thus those who are seeking truth have to discard the Theological Advaita without mercy in order to realize the Advaitic truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.
Advaitic orthodoxy is based on the birth entity. The one which is born lives, and dies in the world is not the ‘‘Self’’.

Sage Sankara says the world is an illusion Brahman alone is real and Atman is Brahman.
Thus, it proves the world in which birth and death happen is merely an illusion. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the cause of the world is real. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Remember:~
In India, people think that religion as a stepping stone to higher truth, but it is not so because religion is based on the false Self (waking entity or ego) within the false experience (waking or the world).
One must go beyond form, time, and space. The theistic tradition has been kept alive by the orthodoxy.
The orthodoxy is the path of ignorance because it is based on ignorance.
The orthodoxy is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. Thus, it is not the path to realize ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
People who stuck to orthodoxy never will be able to cross the prison of duality. Without crossing the prison of dualistic illusion, Self-awareness is an impossibility.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana is necessary to realize the ultimate Truth or Brahman or God in truth.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the highest wisdom. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the Advaitic Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana leads to Self-awareness.
In Self-awareness, there is no second other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Saguna Brahman represents Puranic Gods, which is barred by Vedas because Vedic God is Athma or Nirguna Brahman.+

Saguna Brahman represents Puranic Gods, which is barred by Vedas because Vedic God is Athma or Nirguna Brahman. God of Sanatana Dharam is Athma, the nirguna Brahman. Saguna Brahman is nothing to do with Sanatan Dharma or Vedas.

Saguna Brahman has no place in Vedas.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the “Self’. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Saguna Brahman is meant for ignorant people who incapable of grasping and realizing the Nirguna Brahman.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods (Saguna). (7- Verse -20)
Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as it is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not a distinction between substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constitutes the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.
The ultimate truth or Brahman must be independent of religion, that in Sage Sankara himself’ the Saguna Brahman or a personal God is the only a part of the phenomenal (if not illusory) world, and the Nirguna Brahman is the only reality and has nothing to do with religion.

Remember:~

Advaita is not philosophy. Advaita is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. The nature of God is Advaita. All the teaching propagated by some gurus are adulterated with theories, tradition, religions are not Advaitic wisdom. Advaita Gnana is “Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (Advaitic wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita –Chap- IV-v.2)

In Advaitic reality, there is neither God nor Goddess but only the consciousness. Consciousness is the real God.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted other than consciousness a God.

Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost “Self’. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

It is for every seeker who is seeking truth must first know what God supposed to be in actuality according to Vedas and Upanishads and reject all non-Vedic Gods to realize the Atman is real God.

Bhagavad Gita Chapter:~ “All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself’.

Thus, it refers to formless and attributeless God, which is the Atman (Soul), the innermost ‘Self’ within the false experience. Thus, it indicates clearly all the Gods with form and attributes are mere imagination based on the false ‘Self’. Thus Atman or Soul, the ‘Self’ is God.

The Vedas do not talk about idol worship. In fact, till about 2000 years ago followers of Vedism never worshipped idols. Idol worship was started by the followers of Buddhism and Jains. There is logic to idol worship. Vedas speak of one God that is the supreme ‘Self’ in i.e. Atman or Soul but Hinduism indulges in worshiping 60 million Gods.

It indicates clearly all the Gods with form and attributes are mere imagination based on the false ‘Self’.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the Self does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

A great majority of Hindus are not in contact with their religious history therefore, they believe their inherited beliefs as ultimate truth.

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other God other than the Soul. The Soul is God in truth,  Nothing is real but the Soul, which present in the form of consciousness. Nothing matters but realize  God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is real and eternal and all else is an illusion.:

Brahman is merely a word to indicate the ultimate truth or God in truth.  The ultimate truth itself is God in truth.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the ' Self’. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 clearly mention that God is “One”.

Rig Veda says God is ‘ONE’ and God is Atman, then why believe and worship in place of real God.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

People who are saying ‘I AM GOD’ are hallucinating that they become God. First, you must know what God supposed to be in actuality.

Sage Sankara declares Atman is Brahman. That is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth and the ultimate truth or Brahman is God.

The nature of God is Advaita. Advaita is the fullness of consciousness. God is the form of the Atman, therefore; never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman.

The truth-realization is Self-realization. Self-realization is God-realization. God-realization itself is real worship. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

What is this Illusion?+

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone, is real and all else is merely an illusion. The universe has no real existence without consciousness. Consciousness alone is real and eternal.
What is this Illusion?
Illusion is where the Soul is bound to:~

The ‘I.

The ego, body, and the world.

The form, time, and space.

The birth, life, and death.

The pain and the pleasure,

The burden and   bondage

The waking, the dream, and the deep sleep.

The universe or the mind or the duality.

The Illusion is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the formless soul. The Soul is in the form of consciousness. Because of ignorance, an illusion is experienced as a reality. Illusory reality deludes because it is based on egocentricity. In egocentricity one is unaware of the ultimate truth and he permanently remains in ignorance
experiences the illusion as a reality.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Bhagvad Gita does not give detailed explanations, however, there are odd words here and there which give hints.+

There are hundreds of commentaries from different authors on the Bhagavad Gita. Each one goes on spinning yarns imagining as he likes what the meaning may be.

Bhagvad Gita has been interpreted in a thousand ways, according to the author’s capacity to understand the test of all these is the reason. Only a few understood Bhagvad Gita.

Bhagavad Gita is a hodgepodge containing everything; hence it suits the populace because there is something in it for every type of mindset. It is difficult to find any tradition whose voice is not found in the Gita. It is difficult to find anyone who does not take solace from the Bhagavad Gita. But for such people, the Advaitic path will prove very difficult.

Once you are Soulcentric you will know what Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures really meant, you will see that there is only one possible interpretation, irrespective of diverse opinion or imagination.

The Bhagavad Gita does not contain higher wisdom. Bhagavad Gita is intended for those who are incapable of thinking rationally.

People love Bhagavad Gita because it is very easy to extract one's own meaning from it. Reading Bhagvad Gita a religious believer extracts something of which he can make a belief because Bhagavad Gita speaks on bhakti, devotion. The karma yogi extracts his belief because Krishna has spoken on karma yoga, the Yoga of action. The believer in knowledge finds what he wants because Bhagvad Gita has spoken on knowledge as well. Somewhere Krishna calls bhakti the ultimate, somewhere else he calls knowledge the ultimate, again elsewhere he calls karma yoga the ultimate.

Lord Krishna taught the Karma and Bhakti yogis their own paths only to lead them up to the Gnana yoga path, which is the highest and the real object of his teaching.

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (our true Advaita philosophy) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita ~ Chap ~IV~ v.2)

Why is the word Yoga used in so many different senses in the Gita? Because there are grades and the highest demands concentrated brains, not sitting mindless and imagining you are seeing God.

In Gita Chap.IV where Lord Krishna says: ~ “This yoga has been lost for ages" the word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas: the force of the word this is to point this out.

Lord Krishna describes some of the other yogas but devotes this chapter separately to Gnana Yoga. So one sees even in those ancient days people did not care for Advaita; they wanted religion; hence Gnana got lost. That is why Krishna calls it "the supreme secret." Krishna points out that yoga must-see "Brahman in action."

Gita Chap.IV:~ “He who achieves perfection in Yoga finds the Self in time." This means that after his yoga is finished, he begins the inquiry into ultimate truth, and in due course, this inquiry produces the realization of the universal spirit as the result.

Understanding what is God is not so easy. Religious people can only imagine God based on their beliefs.

That is why Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know me in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
No duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.
The Bhagavad Gita: ~ brahmano hi pratisthaham -  Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material( ( 14.27)
It proves that the all-pervading Atman, which is present in the form of consciousness, is God.  Thus worshipping the form-based Gods is meant for the ignorant populace who are incapable of realizing the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.
Bhagavad Gita: 4: 22: ~ ".....who has gone beyond the conflicting dualities like the good (happiness) and bad (sorrow)....."
Bhagavad Gita: 4: 42:~ ".....cut all such conflicting dualities (doubts) by the sword (weapon) of knowledge. ....."
Bhagavad Gita: 5: 18:~ “The learned men (who have come out of delusions (Māyā), got rid of Avidya) see no differentiation have equal vision for a revered Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a cāndāla (outcaste, rogue, mleccha, demonic person, etc)"
Bhagavad Gita: 5: 19:~ "Those who have achieved the true knowledge i.e. the 'Self-Knowledge' or the 'knowledge of Atman' and see no difference, are free from conflicting dualities have merged in Brahman"
Bhagavad Gita: 5: 20:~ "One who does not get excited out of happiness on getting good and does not get depressed on getting bad is situated in Brahman i.e. is merged in Brahman"
Bhagavad Gita: 6: 9:~  "The one who has an equal vision for a Selfless do-gooder, a friend, a foe, an unbiased, a well-wisher, a depressed and jealous man, relatives, a righteous and a sinner is the best (as he sees no duality and differentiation but sees everything as Ātman)"
Bhagavad Gita: 6: 32:~ “.....as one seeks and treats oneself with equal vision, the same way one who has equal vision for good and evil, for everybody, is the best of all"
Bhagavad Gita: 6: 8: ~ "For whom soil, a pebble, and gold are alike, he is merged in Brahman"
Bhagavad-Gita Gita: 7: 27:~ ".....people are getting entangled in the primordial ignorance (Avidya) of the conflicting dualities like good and evil, happiness and sorrow caused due to attachments, desires, and hatred....."
Bhagavad Gita: 6: 28:~ “.....who have cut-off conflicting dualities (like good and evil) is determinedly in my service. ...."
Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, in the last birth in the series of many births worships Me as~ Atman alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare"
The earliest part of Bhagvad Gita deals with religion because it is for mentally immature persons, but in the latter part, you get philosophy as that is intended for the intellectually evolved. You can’t make all men into genius, and therefore religion is provided for them.

Lord Sri Krishna himself says that he can do nothing to make a man intelligent straight away. The adepts give Prasad, blessing, initiations, mantrams, etc. only to confer temporary peace of mind, to help one to get rid of worries, but not to confer Gnana. The capacity to receive it must first be inborn in man by evolutionary degree.

In the statement in Bhagavad Gita which says that the path of the Unmanifest is harder than others, this path means Gnana Yoga.

The Upanishads and Gita do not give detailed explanations because the knowledge of those days was not as advanced as it as nowadays. However, there are odd words here and there which give hints.

Bhagvad Gita gives dualistic worship of "God” only for the lower minds; it also indicates the Advaitic wisdom for the more evolved.

Likewise, thinkers and poets of the Age of Devotion (Bhakti) of the 16th century believed in a God with attributes who became very tangible when incarnating as Avatar and was attainable simply through love and devotion rather than scholastic and intellectual meditation.

For the religious people,   the Bhagavad Gita became the main vehicle of inspiration with its qualified and deistic Monism, rather than the scholastic and esoteric path shown by Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic path. :~Santthosh Kumaar
