Some Gurus say I and you are one without knowing how we are one. Such imaginary theories are not Advaitic wisdom.
Playing with the emotions of the seeker with ornamental worlds is the biggest sin. Emotions keep you locked in the prison of ignorance.
Emotions belong to the dualistic illusion. If you get stuck with the physical guru, then you are stuck to ignorance.
Unless until you come out of the guru-sticking business you will never be able to realize the truth hidden by ignorance.
Guru is not needed in pursuit of truth because the truth has to be ascertained by the seeker himself.
Advaitic wisdom will not rise from intellectual spoon-feeding, but it arises only from deeper self-search to the sincere and serious seeker who has an intense urge to know the ultimate truth or Brahman.
If you are seeking truth nothing but the truth, then you have to discard this Guru/disciple business.
The guidance comes from within because the Guru is within. People think the Self is the body, they think their Guru also has the body and the Guru would do something tangible to them.
People who are stuck with branded Masters and Guru and take their Guru’s word as final without verifying the validity of their Guru’s teaching.
People are stuck with their egocentric intellectuality, which is the greatest hindrance in realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Sage Sankara says: ~ What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra).
Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. Nothing is needed for acquiring Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana other than perfect understanding, assimilation, and realization of ‘what is what.”
By just saying we are one, we do not become one. We must know from what standpoint, we are one.
Only from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, there is unity in diversity. Therefore, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is very much necessary in the path of wisdom.
Religious and yogic gurus are not Gnanis. Religious path yogic path and all other paths and practices are meant for the ignorant populace who has a firm conviction that the world in which they exist as a reality.
Sages of truth restrained themselves parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the mass and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few.
Thus, religion was given to the masses, and knowledge of the Spirit was given to only selected a few. Thus, we find traces of the knowledge of the spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.
Katha Upanishad says: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. (II -23-P-20)
Upanishads: ~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)
So-called spiritual paths are useless unless it cause us to seek the truth of our true existence.
All controversies about creation, the nature of the universe, evolution, the purpose of God, etc., are useless in the Atmic path.
Bhagavan Buddha: ~ There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.
Throw the mental garbage and start NOW.
Swami Vivekananda:~ This bending the knee to superstitions, this selling yourself, to your own mind does not befit you, the Soul. Self is infinite, deathless, and birthless. Because the Self is infinite Spirit, it does not befit you to be a slave. ... Arise! Awake!
Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg 25
Why you are waiting, conquer the truth on your own independently. That is what Sages of Truth wants you to do. :~Santthosh Kumaar
