When the Self is not you then whatever you have observed is the falsehood. First, make sure ‘what is this observer and the observed.+

 

Without knowing 'what is this observer?' and 'what is observed?' it is foolish to talk of the observer and observed from the dualistic perspective. Without Self-realization, it is not possible to realize ‘what observes what’?

When the Self is not you then whatever you have observed is the falsehood. First, make sure ‘what is this observer and the observed.

Sage Goudpada: ~ “Whatever is seen, whether external or internal, whether by the ordinary persons or yogis, is unreal.

Only when all accumulated mental garbage has to be dropped to acquire Self-knowledge. 

All the accumulated egocentric knowledge blocks the realization of the ‘Self', which is beyond form, time, and space. one cannot acquire Self-knowledge through argument but one can acquire it through careful reading and reflecting constantly. Patience and humility are the main ingredients.

The people cut themselves from the observer (Soul or Spirit) and remain aloof from the observed (universe or matter).

The people not only stand aside, outside the field of the observer. It is because the people are unaware of the observer, which is apart from the observed, and they are unaware of the fact that the observer, is beyond the form, time, and space.

They are not even aware of the fact that they are part of the observed. Therefore, they cannot cross the threshold of form, time, and space. Thus, their observation is limited to the domain of form,  time. and space.

The ability to observe the Soul, the Self as it is in the midst of the illusion through the Advaitic wisdom leads to Self-awareness.

For a Gnani sees the world in which he exists as consciousness, just as the goldsmiths view the ornaments as nothing but the gold.

The whole universe is nothing but the Soul. Therefore, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The universe is nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness.

Realizing the universe as an illusion leads the seeker to realize, that the consciousness hidden by the illusion is real and eternal.

You are not you but the consciousness; your body is not the body but the consciousness, the world in which you exist is not the world but consciousness.

Everything that is known, seen, believed, and experienced by you is nothing but consciousness then what else remains, which is not consciousness. 

There is nothing else to realize other than to realize that consciousness alone is, everything else is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
