Self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana is not brought about by any other means than Soulcentric reasoning.+

The thoughts like 'I' and I AM will not cease until one understands ‘what is the 'I'. One has to realize that the thought will not rise without the waking or the dream, therefore, the waking or dream has to be there prior to the real thought process.

The thoughts have nothing to do with the invisible unborn Soul, which is the witness of the waking or the dream.

The thoughts are concerned with the individual, not with the formless witness. Thus, whatever is part of the mind has to be a falsehood. The thoughts, which arise from the false self within the false experience are bound to be a falsehood.

Thus, it is erroneous to trace the source of the thought instead one has to first realize that the ‘I’ is not the Self. The ‘I’ is not limited to the physical entity, but ‘I’ is the whole universe, which appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality).

If the ‘I’ is there, then the mind is there. If the mind is there, then the universe is there. And the universe is present only when waking or dream is present.

One sees differences between things because of ignorance; all these differences would vanish when one gets wisdom and various thoughts arise because one considers ‘I’ as the Self.

There is a need to dismantle the inherited physical structure mentally to overcome the duality. The whole physical structure is built on the foundation of the ‘I’. Since they think of the ‘I’ as the Self, it becomes difficult to grasp, assimilate, and realize the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth.

The ‘I’, appears and disappears as the mind (waking or dream) is impermanent, hence it is not the Self. The formless knower of the ‘I’ (waking or dream) is the true Self.

People think whatever is propagated by any Guru or yogi as the ultimate truth and blindly accept it as truth, without verifying the validity of their preaching. This blind acceptance becomes a big hindrance in the pursuit of truth.

If one is seeking the truth, one has to verify the validity of any claim through inquiry, analysis, and reasoning on the true base, and accept only the uncontradictable truth.

Self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana is not brought about by any other means than Soulcentric reasoning.

Bhagvad Gita: ~ Reason as a means to reality. (Chap.18 verse 37)

In chap. 10 of in Bhagvad Gita, Krishna says: ~ I cannot save you, but I can give you Buddhi (reason). (chap. 10)

In chap. 10 of in Bhagvad Gita, Krishna says: ~ "I have given you the most secret teaching, now reflect over it all" Krishna plainly says reflect, think. (Verse 63 of Chap. 18)

Mundaka Upanishad says: ~ ‘Both states are harmful and take you away from the path of inquiry into truth. (Page 234)

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ It is not the absence of Buddhi (Reason) that can grasp Advaita but the man who possesses the highest intellect. Brains are necessary. Such a man, by merely hearing the truth mentioned will know it. (Page~ 224)

Brihad Up.: To see Him whole mystics may have similar ideas of the "universe in a dew-drop," but Advaitic truth demands proof. (Page 78)

Upanishad says: ~ Atman the Self is known by Reason alone, by the sharpened and purified intellect. Yet still, people worship Yoga and mysticism as the sole means of attaining Atman.

The universe in which you exist is an illusion and there is no substance in its reality."

Self-knowledge or Brahma knowledge is the end of all egocentric knowledge. Egocentric knowledge is dualistic knowledge, whereas Self-knowledge is Soulcentric knowledge.

Advaitic wisdom has nothing to do with orthodox Advaita, which is dualistic. Orthodox Advaita is a sect, which blindly accepts and follows dogmas and superstitions.

Trying to acquire Self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana through other means is like trying to find fish in the desert sand.

The seeker has to know: ~

 What is ‘I’?

 How is this universe created?

 Of what material is this universe made?

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that:~ The Self is neither the body nor the ‘I’. The Self is within the universe but it is apart from the universe and its contents.

The seeker must proceed in deeper self-search to realize the truth which is beyond form, time, and space. ~Santthosh Kumaar
