If you compare the Soul, the Self with you and the world in which you exist which keeps the Soul, the Self in the prison of the dualistic illusion or Maya.
If you hold the Self is within your physical body then the ignorance will be more and more deep-rooted.
You will always remain in a state of ignorance until you realize the Self is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
When the Self is not ‘you’ but the Soul, which is the cause of you and the world in which you exist then what is the use of discussing the body and the world, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya is created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The Soul is the Self. The Soul is all-pervading. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness and is not within any particular body it pervades the whole universe.
Consciousness pervades the form, time, and space. Without consciousness, the form, time, and space cease to exist.
Only in ignorance, there is duality. In reality, there is no duality. ‘I’ is illusory in its nature.
Holding the ‘I’ as the Self is holding on to ignorance. The ignorance will not buzz until you hold on to the ‘I’ because ‘I’ itself is ignorance.
The Soul is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. God in truth neither comes nor goes, but God in truth exists always.
The form, time, and space, which appear and disappear are merely an illusion. Thus, all the form-based Gods are merely an illusion. God is the cause of the form, time, and space, and God is causeless.
