Erwin Schrödinger, physicist: ~ Consciousness is never experienced in the plural, only in the singular. Not only has none of us ever experienced more than one consciousness, but there is also no trace of circumstantial evidence of this ever happening anywhere in the world. If I say that there cannot be more than one consciousness in the same mind, this seems a blunt tautology — we are quite unable to imagine the contrary...

Remember:~

Who am I? - is not Self-inquiry. The ‘Self-inquiry’ is finding out the ‘Self’ which is hidden by the ‘I’. The ‘I’ itself is ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of the dualistic illusion or Maya or the universe.
By inquiring ‘Who am I?’- the ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of ignorance, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. Without Advaitic wisdom, it is not possible to realize the truth, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion.

‘WHO AM ‘I’?’ inquiry is good in starting point of the pursuit of truth but in later stages, it created lots of confusion.

When the Self is genderless then it is not He/She. Therefore, using the word ‘I AM’ for the Self is erroneous.

Deeper Self-search reveals the fact that the Self is not the ‘I’, therefore ‘WHO AM I? ~ inquiry will not help to unfold the truth hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

Jung says that Ramana's desire to escape the ego is Self-contradictory, because, without Maharishi’s personal ego, there would be no  Ramana Maharshi at all.

Most of the Indian teaching is so overwhelmingly great that it means little whether the author is called Ramakrishna or Vivekananda or Shri Aurobindo, etc. Jung seems to be saying "If you have seen one Indian holy man, you have seen them all."

Jung says that the Indian lacks the epistemological standpoint; he is still pre-Kantian, with no psychology: To the Indian, it is clear that the Self as the originating ground of the psyche is not different from God, and that, so far as a man is in the Self, he is not only contained in God but actually is God.

Santthosh Kumaar:~ “Many Gurus in the past believed the Self is within the body and they imagine and write their own theories on it and propagated.

The Self is not within the physical body, but the world in which body (you) exists is within the Soul. The body-based theories are nothing to with the Atmic path. The Soul, the Self is bodiless because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

The Soul which is present in the form of consciousness pervades in everything and everywhere in all three states. Thus, everything is consciousness. There is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar
