Without knowing what is the truth (Sat)?‘- what is the use of attending the Satsanga.+

Sage Sankara has already declared what is the ultimate truth and what is the untruth. His declaration is final. There is no need to follow anyone or any teaching.
Sage Sankara says: ~ Atman is Brahman. The Atman alone is real is not religious truth.

Sage Sankara declared this Advaitic truth is the ultimate truth to the whole world, many centuries back is the rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth.
The Atman which is present in the form of the consciousness is real and eternal, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.
There is no need to search for the truth the truth is already declared by Sage Sankara you have to realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. to realize this simple truth, why you are struggling.
That is why Bhagavan Buddha: ~ Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
That is why Sage Sankara says:~ VC-65- As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.
To realize the Self’ is not you, but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, there is no need for a Guru, there is no need to study scriptures, there is no need to go to the mountain, there is no need for gurus blessing or grace. There is no need to waste your fortune and precious time of your life. There is no need to follow anyone
If you have an intense urge and are ready to drop all your accumulated knowledge and start afresh then you are fit and ready to take this mental journey.
Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

So-called spiritual paths are useless unless it causes us to seek the truth of our true existence. All controversies about creation, the nature of the universe, evolution, the purpose of God, etc., are useless in the Atmic path.

Remember:~

By attending to religious Gurus and yogic Satsanga, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. Whatever is based on the ‘I’ is a myth because the ‘I’ itself is myth.

All the Advaitic Satsanga are based on the dualistic perspective and such Satang makes the seeker hallucinate.

Most of the Satsang are based on religion and yoga. Religion and yoga are not spirituality because religion and yoga are based on form, time, and space whereas the truth (sat) is hidden by the form, time, and space. Whatever is based on form, time and space is a myth.

By attending the Satsang of Gurus and yogis, the ignorance will not vanish. All the Satsanga are based on the myth. Without knowing what is the truth (Sat)?‘- what is the use of attending the Satsanga,’ which will not help the seeker to get rid of the ignorance? Most of the Satsanga are or of the commercial Grade. Such Satsanga are not Satsanga but mythsanga.

People think they attended many Satsang of Gurus they have met many Gurus, and they traveled to India and met many yogis, they have read many books, they have stayed Ashrams, they walked in the Himalayas, they totally surrender to their physical Guru but still they are not achieving what they are seeking for.

To attain Self-realization Advaita Vedanta is not necessary. You want fresh water to drink, but you do not require all the water of the river to quench your thirst.

The intellectual wealth of accumulated knowledge is of no use in the quest for truth. Each Guru spins his own imagination and calls it wisdom.

Katha Upanishad says ~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Ch~ II-5 P-14)

If you are seeking truth then first get freedom from all these ‘I’-centric Gurus and their teaching.

Sages of truth restrained themselves parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the mass and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was given knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few. Thus, religion was given to the ignorant populace, and knowledge of the Spirit is given only selected a few. Thus, we find traces of the knowledge of the Spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.

Dattatreya's Song of the Avadhut: ~ “The ‘Self is the ultimate Reality; have no doubt. The Self is not something known by the mind; The Self is the very one who knows! How, then, could you think to know the Self? (1.36-42)

Advaita is not any type of teaching or philosophy. Advaita is the knowledge of your true existence. Advaita is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Advaita is the ultimate reality, Brahman, or God in truth.

That is why Sage Sankara said:~Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

If you are the truth seeker then it is better to spend time discovering the facts about your own existence than waste precious time attending Satsang, meeting Gurus and yogis, by traveling one place to another by reading books after books, by staying Ashrams, and by the walking in the Himalayas.

Sage Sankara says ~ VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

People dwelling in ignorance, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round by various blind beliefs and tortuous paths and practices, like the blind led by the blind.

Swami Vivekananda said:~ "The Vedas teach that the Soul is divine, only held in the bondage of matter; perfection will be reached when this bond will burst, and the word they use for it is, therefore, Mukthi.

By indulging in anything within the dualistic illusion the ignorance will not vanish. Realize the ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Your blind acceptance ‘I’ based gurus and their teaching as final is blocking your realization.

The ‘I’-centric knowledge blocks the realization of truth because religion is built on the foundation of form, time, and space whereas the ultimate truth is based on the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

If one is ready to drop all his baggage of inherited accumulated knowledge then it becomes easy to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Freedom means becoming free from ignorance. The ‘I’ is the cause of experiencing the dualistic illusion as a reality.

Realize the Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the formless Soul.

Remember: ~

Whatever is based on ‘I’ is an illusion.

Whatever is based on the Soul, the witness of the 'I' is a reality.

It is not possible to realize the Self without realizing the ‘I’ is supposed to be in actuality.

The truth is hidden within the ‘I’ but it is without the ‘I’.

All the ‘I’-centric accumulated knowledge is false knowledge. Such ‘I’ -centric Gurus and their teaching make you only hallucinate.

By giving up thoughts and beliefs or by renouncing worldly life, ignorance will not vanish. Perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ helps you to unfold the truth which is hidden by the ‘I’. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
