Moksha or Freedom is not the result of ritual action (path of karma) or of devotional service (path of bhakti).+

Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.

Sage Sankara: ~ VC Let erudite scholars quote all the Scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

Moksha or Freedom is not the result of ritual action (path of karma) or of devotional service (path of bhakti).

It is not you who has to get freedom because the ‘Self’ is not you but the Self is the Soul, which witnesses the dualistic illusion. The dualistic illusion is the cage for the Soul, the Self.

It is the Soul that has to get freedom from the dualistic illusion.  Only when the Soul wakes up from its sleep of ignorance and remains in its own awareness it is free from experiencing the dualistic illusion as a reality.

The moksha is not a result of anything, for it always exists. All that is required is the removal of ignorance. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the only tool to get rid of ignorance.

Advaitic liberation or moksha consists in realizing the Self is not the ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. Advaitic truth is not just as a matter of literal or intellectual understanding, but as something that is to be grasped by the individual in his/her own personal realization. .

This world is the dualistic illusion created out of the Soul, the Advaita. Due to ignorance, the unity of Soul is not known, and multiplicity is seen instead. This is akin to the false perception of a snake in a rope. When the rope is known, the snake vanishes. Similarly, on ‘Self –realization’ the objective world becomes unreal.

It is not you who has the ignorance. It is the Soul; the Self is in ignorance of its own true nature.

You and your experience of the world are the product of ignorance. The Soul, the Self, is hidden due to ignorance. When ignorance is removed through wisdom, you become aware of the fact that the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Know the Self to be the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

From the Standpoint of the Soul as the Self, there is no more world, no more individual. The Soul, the Self alone is. Removal of ignorance is synonymous with the Soul, which is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Self–realization is moksha. : ~Santthosh Kumaar
